Resilience is the key for anyone who wants, is obliged or needs to navigate the turbulent waters of real estate in Portugal. There has long been a need for a long-term strategy for housing, a true regime pact that is immune to the left or right tendencies of governments that come and go. After government measures more focused on (assumed) protection of demand, we now have a paradigm shift, with new government measures more focused on (assumed) boosting supply. Some measures have already seen the light of day and others will follow, namely: elimination of forced renting, elimination of limitations placed on Local Accommodation businesses (extraordinary contribution, limitation on the granting of new licenses), elimination of imposition of limits on rent increases , among many others. We will share something about this soon. For now, in this edition, we give you an account of (i) financial support for young people to purchase their first home, (ii) phases of the process of converting stores and offices into duly licensed housing, (iii) properties recently launched on the market, (iv) new or under-construction apartments on the market, which we complement with an (v) article aimed at your possible leisure moments, giving you an account of the main summer festivals that will take place across the country until the end of September.
And, you know... we're just a phone call or message away to help you with whatever you need. See you soon!
